alz.org - The Alzheimer's Association leads the way to end Alzheimer's and all other dementia — by accelerating global research, driving risk reduction and early detection, and maximizing quality care and support. 

Aunt BERTHA (now FindHelp.org) - a free-to-use online tool that makes it easy for anyone in the US to find and apply for social services by zip code.

Best Buddies Wisconsin  -  a nonprofit  organization, Best Buddies Wisconsin offers One-to-One Friendship and Leadership Development programs – positively impacting nearly 31,920 individuals with and without disabilities in Wisconsin.

Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services(CMS) - federal agency that oversees the Medicare program and works with State Medicaid programs

CARS - Community Access to Recovery Services for Individuals 18 Years and Older offered by Milwaukee County Health and Human Services. 

Community Advocates  - provides advocacy and services in the areas of family violence/crisis help, tenant-landlord help, energy assistance, substance abuse, homeless outreach and supportive housing programs

Department of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR) - offers a full range of employment services for people with special needs. Offices around the state that can help you prepare for the world of work.

Disability Rights Wisconsin - a private, nonprofit agency that provides protection and advocacy for people with disabilities throughout the state

Drug information for consumers - a wide-ranging and up-to-date drug information resource. Provides fast, easy searching of over 24,000 approved medications

Gigi's Playhouse - changes lives through consistent delivery of free educational, therapeutic-based and career development programs for individuals with Down syndrome, their families and the community, through a replicable playhouse model.

Golden House - Golden House is a comprehensive domestic violence program serving victims in Brown County. 24 HOUR Help Line: 920-432-4244.  The Golden House is an advocate of The Be Safe Campaign.

Impact 2-1-1 – a free, confidential helpline and online resource directory for residents to get connected to information and assistance. The first step in regaining stability

Independence First - non-profit agency that provides services for the disabled. Its mission is to empower individuals with disabilities through: Education, Advocacy, Independent Living Services, and Coalition Building. Services offered include: independent living skills training, peer counseling, advocacy, and information and referral services to persons with disabilities

Kendyn’s Kause, Inc. -  devoted to SIDS awareness, education and local resources for those affected by SIDS

Madison Homeless Resource Guide - This guide is intended to help any and all first responders find the information they may need to assist a homeless individual or family in the Madison area. 

Medicine Assistance Tool - for those who have lost benefits and need assistance paying for medications

Mel’s Charities - specializes in funding special needs organizations, scholarships in memory of those who have passed, and human services organizations.

Milwaukee Center for Independence - a community-based agency serving children, adults and families with physical and mental disabilities since 1938. Its mission is to assist individuals and families with special needs to better live and work in the community.

Milwaukee Continuum of Care - the City of Milwaukee and Milwaukee County Continuum of Care’s mission is to organize people and resources to end homelessness in Milwaukee (Project Homeless Connect event).

Milwaukee County Health and Human Services - website for Energy Assistance, Food Stamps, Burial Assistance, Childcare, etc.

Milwaukee County Healthy Start - if you are pregnant or planning a family, Healthy Start can help you get the information and services you need to have a healthy baby, raise a healthy family, and keep yourself healthy and strong. 

Milwaukee Enrollment Services (MilES) – manages all aspects of Income Maintenance programs within Milwaukee County. Help with FoodShare, Medicaid, BadgerCare Plus

NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) - a mental health organization providing support, education, advocacy and public awareness.

Opportunity Development Centers, Inc. (ODC) - a private, not-for-profit agency whose mission is “to empower people with disabilities to achieve their work and life goals.”

Our Space - helps those with mental illness to attain a more meaningful life by offering quality programs and services which promote recovery, rehabilitation & renewal

Paul’s Pantry – operating without government funding, Paul’s Pantry is an emergency food pantry providing food to those in need in the Green Bay area.

Rent Assistance Program - this Section 8 Program is federally funded and overseen by Milwaukee's Housing Authority. The Section 8 Program often referred to as the Rent Assistance Program (RAP) is designed to help low and moderate income families rent privately owned housing.

Revitalize Milwaukee - provides free, professional quality home repairs for senior, disabled, and low-income homeowners in Milwaukee and Waukesha Counties, with a vision to create safer, stronger and more stable neighborhoods for those independent homeowners

Senior Resources - provides wide-ranging information on services for older adults in Wisconsin

Share Program - a nonprofit food buying club that offers nutritious food products at reduced cost. Anyone who wants to save money on food and help their community can become a SHARE member. No membership fees or eligibility requirements

Sixteenth Street Community Health Centers - providing high quality health care, health education and social services for residents of the multi-cultural neighborhoods on Milwaukee’s South Side

Social Security Administration - federal agency that oversees the Supplemental Security Income (SSI) program. The SSI program makes payments to people with low income who are age 65 or older or are blind or have a disability.

Sojourner Family Peace Center - assistance for women in abusive relationships. Provides shelter, safety and support while restoring dignity and self-worth. Also educates and advocates to promote change in public attitudes about domestic violence

Transit Plus - a transportation service for individuals with a disabling illness or condition that prevents them from using Milwaukee County Transit System's buses

Wisconsin Department of Health Services - a state agency committed to promoting health and safety of the people of Wisconsin, making sure everyone can live their best life

Wisconsin Housing Search - assistance in locating housing
